Tony Hearn resides in the state of Nevada as a committed 30 year educator. He was born in the Arkansas in 1963 during the era of segregation. He attended Wilson High k-12 system. He has earned his BA at Evergreen State College, MA at Heritage College and MA in Public Administration for School Principles at Heritage College in Washington State. He also is certified as a Washington State Corrections Officer. He holds State certifications in both Nevada and Washington State. He has worked with Clark County School District, Seattle Public Schools, Clover Park SD, Kent Public SD and Heritage College. He first joined The National Alliance of Black School Educators(NABSE) in 1997.
Mr. Hearn is a member of Nevada Association of School Administrators (NASA). He has coach and officiated youth sports for over 30 years ( SNOA & PNBOA). He is the CEO and founder of the The Las Vegas Universal Stepper’s (Chicago Style Steppin Ballroom since 2004). While his passion is education, he enjoys traveling, dancing and the outdoors activities. His goal is to make the Nevada Alliance of Black School Educators strong and equitable in the state of Nevada to improve disproportionately.
